Following months of excitement and apprehension, Creative Head’s Most Wanted Awards Finals 2013 took place on Monday night.
With our successful entry submitted we had gained finalist status and joined the Creme de la Creme of the industry at a spectacular event at The Natural History Museum. As we entered the room we truly felt that The Wonderlab had arrived in the industry. Taken out of our little comfort zone of our lovely salon and fabulous clients, it was time to represent Chorleywood on a National level.
The room was stunning, the frocks were fabulous and the hair was of-course suitably big! Among a sea of familiar faces, which included Errol Douglas MBE, Andrew Barton and Lee Stafford, there was a buzz of activity. While the champagne flowed so did of course the conversation and we used the opportunity to network amongst our peers, receiving valuable hints and tips from those that have been in this game longer than us.
Unfortunately it was not to be our night, but with one award already under our belt and becoming a finalist two further times, we cannot complain, as they say, ‘You can’t win them all!’
With less than a week now to recover we are now preparing for the British Hairdressing Business Awards. Watch this space…
