Every year April is Earth Month for Aveda. As a new salon, this is the first year we have had the opportunity to be part of it, and it has been eventful!
We began the month introducing the candles for sale, changing lives £16 at a time (view our news page for more information).
To help encourage donations into our counter top collection box we thought we’d take advantage of the fact that not only our staff but a vast majority of our guests are dog lovers. We also felt bad for the dogs that used to visit the salon when it was a pet shop and who have been bitterly disappointed with the change of use. So Gaynor (Jade’s Mum) lovingly baked some home-made dog biscuits. These have gone down a treat!
We then headed down to Bath for a Salon Vs Salon it’s a Knockout event. Our team of four girls arrived at the Rugby Training Ground to meet large teams which included Rugby players! Following a day of events, including tug of war, volleyball, space-hopper races, apple bobbing relay and rounders – The Wonderlab were victorious and brought home the trophy (well a home made trophy made from an old hairspray bottle).
